Welcome to the Surfcoasters Basketball Club. We are proud to participate in both the Geelong United Basketball competition and the Surfcoast Basketball Association, with over 45 teams competing this season. Our club continues to grow, providing opportunities for athletes of all ages and skill levels to excel on and off the court

How to join a Surfcoasters team

New & returning players will need to attend our age group selection sessions, Players will be assessed by coaches/coordinators based on their skill and ability. They will be looking for individual and team based skills so that everyone is placed within the correct team for their current skill level.

PLAYER REGISTRATIONS

What is player registration?

Player registration is a payment that players need to make each season. This payment includes on-court insurance and membership to GUB, Basketball Victoria and your club.

 

How much does a player registration cost?

Player registrations will vary in price from season to season. Some are annual, and others are due every 6 (six) months (each season). Your player registration is made up of 3-4 payments.

Basketball Victoria Participation Licence Fee – $29 – $49.00 – due annually

GUB Membership – $71.50 – due seasonally

Surfcoasters Membership – $85.00 - due seasonally

Basketball Australia Game Development Levy – $5.50 – due annually

 

WEEKLY GAME PAYMENTS:

As of Summer Season 2024/25, game tickets will cost between $13-14

Tickets can be purchased either at the venue on game day or you can pre-pay via their online store.

Once you have your ticket, write your name, singlet number and team/club name on the back then place it in the tub on the score bench. 

 

COMPETITION TIME & LOCATIONS:

All teams should anticipate playing at any of our GUB venues across the season.

Junior: between 4:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Senior: between 6:00 pm – 11:00 pm

WEEKLY GAME PAYMENTS:

The weekly team sheet payment of $90 is to be paid through the Teampay app and

must be paid BEFORE your team takes the court. The fee is split each week between all players within the team organised by the coach or team manager.

Game payments are not required if you are scheduled a bye.

Weekday: 4:10 - 8:30

Weekend: 10:30 - 1:00pm
